Recognizing the lack of private gardens and nurseries in the country, they took matters into their own hands. In the same year, they purchased 100 acres of land near Sheridan, Ontario, now part of Oakville, to establish their nursery and cultivate ornamental plants.
This marked the humble beginnings of Sheridan Nurseries.
Their commitment to excellence and innovation led to the opening of several additional garden centres in Toronto, Unionville, Kitchener, and Glen Williams over the years.
